Dr. Michael Brown retired as the Senior Minister of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. He is the recipient of both the Circuit Rider Certificate of Merit from The United Methodist Church and the John L. Borchert Award for Christian Communications, and has served as preacher for The Protestant Hour radio program. Dr. Brown is the author of six books and a contributing author to eleven others. He has been included in the "Great American Preachers” book series and in 2012 was a consultant for the Broadway show Grace. He has taught at The University of North Carolina-Asheville, New Testament at High Point University, and Congregational Change at Wake Forest University Divinity School. A frequent lecturer, preacher and motivational speaker, addressing both religious and secular groups, Dr. Brown uses humor and anecdotes to describe a philosophy of life assured to bring meaning, joy, and hope to those who practice it.
Dr. Tom Long recently retired as the Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1996, he was named one of the twelve most effective preachers in the English speaking world by Baylor University. Dr. Long is an accomplished author and effective preacher.
Rev. Susan Sparks, an ex-trial lawyer, turned standup comedian and Baptist minister, is America's only female comedian with a pulpit. A North Carolina native, Susan's work with humor, healing, and spirituality, has been featured in O Magazine, the New York Times, and on several television networks. She is an accomplished author and recipient of the Intersections International Award for her interfaith work to promote justice and reconciliation among diverse communities.
