Mission Volunteer Opportunities

On this page, you will find volunteer opportunities from local agencies that we support through our Mission Outreach Budget.

  • ACTIVELY CHANGING TOMORROW

    A.C.T. (Actively Changing Tomorrow) is an initiative to engage members of all ages of our congregation in community projects.  These take place throughout the year after church services or on Saturday mornings.  Projects include wrapping shoe boxes for the Back to Basics Angel Program, as well as gleaning crops in local fields.  Dates and details for each project are announced as they are available.  Please join us!

  • Hygiene Kits items needed

    We make Hygiene Kits for The Caring Kitchen.  If you have unopened travel size items (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, soap, etc.) that you would like to donate, put them in the collection basket in the Narthex.

  • Farmworker Childrens center

    Volunteers are needed for their elementary student's Help With Homework afterschool programs during the school year from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. They have two locations:


    • 16101 Half Mile Road in Delray Beach
    • 12955 Hagen Ranch Road in Boynton Beach

  • Achievement centers for children & families

    There are several opportunities available:

    • Serve as Toddler / Pre-School teacher aid
    • Help children with homework
    • Assist with fundraising events

  • Boys & Girls Club

  • Delray Beach Food Pantry

    DELRAY BEACH PANTRY – Neighborhood Resource Center at 141 SW 12th Ave. We need volunteers who can preferably help once a week for three to six months. Volunteers are needed from 11:45 am to 3:15 pm on Mondays to check in clients on a computer, Tuesdays to check in clients on a computer and to pack bags of food weighing 25 lbs., or Thursdays to pack and give out bags of food weighing 25 lbs.  Training provided.   • family promise of south palm beach county

    Family Promise of South Palm Beach County is in need of volunteer van drivers for afternoon shifts to transport Family Promise guests:  Drive a 15-passenger van from Day Center in Delray Beach to church and/or synagogue in Delray Beach and/or Boca Raton.  


    Monday through Sunday (5 p.m.-6 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday (8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.).  Volunteer must have a good driving record.

  • The Caring Kitchen

    The Caring Kitchen is in need of the following clothing items:

    • Men's pants / jeans (especially size 32-34)
    • Work boots
    • T-shirts
    • Men's underwear
    • Women's underwear
    • Women's bras
    • Socks
    • Men's and Women's tennis shoes
    • Blankets
